More
than 400 years back Voronezh was built on high hills first as a fortress
with 18 watching towers on its walls. The end of the 17 and the beginning of
the 18 centuries is marked by ship-building industry development set up by
Great Russian Tsar Peter the First.
The
only witness of those times left is “The Stone Bridge” which is a romantic
place and a symbol of a long and happy marriage. Traditionally in Voronezh the groom has to carry his bride
in his hands over 12 bridges on the day of their marriage. The grooms love “The Stone Bridge” the most as it’s
the shortest. |
